On two of the hottest days of the year last month Lancaster University students were doing their bit to keep Lancaster clean. Lancaster BID teamed up with the Lancaster University Global Experiences programme to coordinate a team of 15 students to help clean litter from the streets. Lancaster BID intern from LA, Brittany Barajas, led the team on the litter pick searching our areas where they could make a real positive impact. The good news was the city centre was already REALLY CLEAN, so the students spent their time picking up litter around the Canal Quarter and near the Millennium Bridge. Hopefully the students will go back home and tell everyone how clean Lancaster is.
