Lancaster on Ice returns in November and we want to help the whole city benefit from the expected boost in footfall. Lancaster BID are sponsoring 50,000 wrist bands at Lancaster On Ice 2019.

The feedback Lancaster BID received from business following Lancaster On Ice 2018  was that it was a fantastic event and great to profile Lancaster in such a positive light, but certain areas of the city didn't see benefit of 35,000 skaters either in footflow terms or money spent.

This year Lancaster BID wants the wrist band to mean something to consumer, so for 24 hours after their skating session their wrist band can get discounts, incentives or enter FREE prize draws across Lancaster City Centre.

For this to work for everyone the offer really needs to feel attractive, with big benefits to the people who come into the city centre. If you want a % of this potential footflow that WILL come to Lancaster think of clever ways of getting it with incentives to visit your business.

This will be promoted via Lancaster On Ice Website with a link to the Lancaster BID website, BID will have a banner at the ice rink promoting the wrist band, and also a 10 second advert on their play out system pushing the wrist band.

We are also aiming to transform Ffrances Passage into Santa's Passage for the duration of the festive season to draw skaters across into the heart of the city centre.

For Santa's Savers to be a true success we need as many businesses as possible to sign up and offer incentives for skaters to extend their visit into the city centre.
