Measuring Lancaster's Success - Your help needed
20th April 2017
Monitoring the success of the city centre is key to planning all our activities and events and to helping attract new businesses to Lancaster.
BID currently monitors footfall through counters on Market Street and Penny Street. Our footfall monitoring counters showed that March has a 1.9% increase for the month compared to March 2016.
Another important factor to consider alongside footfall is
the trading figures for businesses in the city centre. We are looking for local
businesses to complete a simple monthly survey to share trading information
Information submitted will be totally anonymous so we will not be able to identify any individual business. All you will be asked to complete will be your percentage change in turnover from the previous month and year as well as indicating if you are an independent or multiple and the general sector you work in.
Individual data will not be shared but will be combined to provide an average for different sectors. This average data will be shared with all businesses agreeing to take part. This will help you compare your trading against others in your sector as well as assessing the overall health of businesses in Lancaster city centre.
If you are willing to participate or wish to find out more please get in touch with Tom Fyson, BID Development Manager at firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 01524 590650.
Thank you in advance for your support.
