Lost Dinos of Lancaster

24th July 2020

Dino Day has always been one of the most popular events in the calendar for Lancaster city centre. Due to social distancing requirements we can't safely bring the dinosaurs into the city this year and have had to postpone the main event to June 6th 2021.

However, we were determined not to be beaten by the pandemic and to find a way to safely bring dinosaurs to life in the city centre this summer. We are delighted to announce our plans for 'Lost Dinosaurs of Lancaster' which will be running in the city centre throughout August.

Visitors to the city will be welcomed by the impressive sight of an enormous inflatable T-Rex towering above the streets on the roof of St Nics Arcade. Families will then be encouraged to scour shop windows in search of the lost dinosaurs. Find them all for the chance to win our giant cuddly dinosaur on one of his smaller friends.

We hope the event will help to encourage people back into the city centre in a safe manner without compromising essential social distancing requirements.

Watch out for full details on the Lancaster BID website and social media. Help out by sharing details to spread the word and draw people safely back into the city centre.

Lancaster BID is particularly grateful to EDF Energy for providing sponsorship which has helped to make this event possible.
