Lancaster City Centre is STILL open for Business
16th September 2014
If, like us, you have ventured into the Centre of Lancaster today you will have noticed some changes to the traffic system. This is due to the continued work in the centre by United Utilities who are in the process of upgrading our sewer network.
Phase 4 of these works started yesterday and are planned to end in November 2014. For a useful map of the new traffic flow system please click here. For latest information from United Utilities, please visit their website.
As you will imagine the new system will take some getting used to and will cause an increase in congestion in the short term. In light of this we recommend that staff at companies working in town consider alternative travel during this busy time. More information about planning your journey using alternative transport including walking, cycling or using public transport can be found at the Public Transport website. The Chamber of commerce is happy to facilitate a car sharing option. Please get in touch with them for more information.
All City Centre businesses are open for business - please look through our website to see all the exciting events coming up during the Autumn Season of Culture.
