With businesses reopening it is reassuring to see footfall starting to increase as shoppers return to the city centre. With the risk of COVID-19 ever present, cleanliness of the city centre is more important than ever.
Lancaster BID continues to work closely with Lancaster City Council to keep the city clean. In addition to the usual litter picking and graffiti removal, the cleansing team are working hard to regularly carry out hot washing and disinfection of street furniture in the early mornings ready for businesses to open their doors.
Unseen by all but the earliest risers, it is important to recognise these extra efforts to ensure the city centre remains a safe place for customers to return.
