Holdens - Supporting the City

10th October 2019

Holdens Solicitors are pleased to have been serving the local community, providing quality legal expertise for over 170 years. At Holdens we also think it is of paramount importance to continually connect and contribute to the community, and one way is to support and recognise the important work Lancaster BID does.

Holdens were the sponsors of the recent BID Breakfast which took place on Thursday 3rd October at The Borough. The event was a great success and very well attended. There was time to network and catch up with other business owners before and after the presentation, along with the offering of a bacon or sausage bun. The theme for the first BID breakfast was Canal Quarter, although it turned out to be more of a review of the current projects in the Lancaster and Morecambe areas. It will be important for the business community to engage through BID to seek more information about tangible deliverables and timescales, so that it is not just about consultation and planning.

Hopefully this breakfast meeting is the first of many, and BID Manager Tony is already asking levy payers to inform him of any other presenters or topics they would like to see at future events.

We are also looking forward to the busy events calendar of the coming months. Voting has now closed in all categories for the BID Ambassador awards which take place on 13th November. We are very excited to be sponsoring the Ambassador of the Year award. Not to mention Winter in the City which starts with the Christmas lights switch on 24th November - another important date for your diary.
