Lancaster BID asked the businesses in the city to get out their best baubles and sparkles to make their Christmas windows shine. As usual they did not disappoint. We ran a competition to find the Best Dressed Festive Window and we had plenty to choose from, after drawing up a shortlist of 8 businesses the team at BID let the public decide who the winner should be.
Members of the public had the chance to vote for their favourite via Facebook and email and they certainly made their voices heard. Lancaster BID Marketing and Events Coordinator Victoria Muir said “We were so pleased that so many businesses got involved and worked so hard to make their displays look amazing and with over 600 comments via Facebook and over 100 emails we had our work cut out counting them all to find the worthy winners. It was a very close run battle with the top three stores which were Expressions of Lancaster, Viva Interiors and Renes.”
However, after counting all the votes the winners were Expressions of Lancaster whose window is always eye catching but the effort that went into their Christmas Display was just stunning. The BID Team would like to congratulate Linda, Jeff and Stephanie and all the staff at Expressions who received a well deserved trophy and certificate.
One member of the public was chosen from all the comments on this competition and has won £100 voucher to spend in the city courtesy of South Lakes Windows who kindly sponsored the competition.
