FREE tickets for Jazz Festival gig

Lancaster Jazz Festival welcome former headliners Skeltr back to the city for a one off gig live at Kanteena on Friday 6 March.

The unstoppable Manchester based electro-funk duo will perform their much anticipated new material for Lancaster audiences for the first time since their sensational 2018 headline performance.

Sax man, Sam Healey, recently gigged with Miles Davis’ bass player, Marcus Miller. Full on the inspiration scale, Sam delivers trademark wild and fiery solos alongside delicate and enchanting melodies.

Fresh back from tour with Grammy-nominated Bristol singer Yola, drummer, Craig Hanson, provides insatiable beats and grooves all delivered with a backdrop of pedal controlled synths and deep bass.

Lancaster audiences can expect to dance, laugh, and go on an intense musical journey with this trail blazing duo of the North at our city’s exciting new event space Kanteena.

Support on the night will come in the shape of Guerilla Biscuits, from Lancaster’s Hymns For Robots collective. Audiences can enjoy glitchy beats and sneaky tunes embedded in some sweet, catchy grooves and mixed and mashed in real time for a dirty electronic groove machine.

Tickets for the show on Friday 6 March are on sale now at lancasterjazz.com and are priced at £5 in advance or £7 on the door. Doors open at 7.30pm.
