FREE Christmas Trees

9th October 2020

We may not be able to bring you a Christmas Lights Switch-On show this year but that doesn't mean we won't make sure the city centre is lit up to bring plenty of much needed festive cheer.

The usual Christmas Lights display will return to illuminate the city centre from late November. This year we are looking to make the display even bigger and better with a focus on some of the outer streets which are not covered by the usual city centre display.

As well as planning some extra features, we are also delighted to offer BID levy paying businesses outside the central pedestrian area (Penny Street, Church Street, Cheapside, New Street & Market Street) the opportunity to have a Christmas tree installed above their shop front.

Trees will be professionally installed and will come complete with timer operated battery powered lights and a wall mounted bracket. Businesses are responsible for obtaining the agreement of their landlord to attach the fixture to the building.

Full details of the fixings, tree and lights can be viewed HERE. The product on offer is the 'Standard Large Tree with vertical bracket'.

Please note that this company is a new supplier to Lancaster so you will be required to have a new bracket installed even if you have previously had Christmas trees from elsewhere.

Trees are available on a strictly first come, first served basis whilst stocks last. Act fast to register your interest by emailing info@lancasterbid.org with details of your property.

Subject to availability we may also be able to offer additional trees, or trees to non BID levy payers at cost price of just £85+VAT.
