Businesses on Common Garden Street and Sir Simon's Arcade came out in force last week to join Lancaster BID to plant up the second phase of bright planters in Lancaster city centre. Further planters were also added to Church Street to increase the impact of the first phase.
The planters have received very positive feedback from businesses and provide a vibrant impression of the city centre, in particular opposite the busy bus stops on Common Garden Street which provides many visitors with their first impression of the city.
To complement the planting the bunting on Church Street and North Road is also due to be extended into other locations over the next two weeks. Hanging above Gage Street, Market Street and sections of Penny Street, the vibrant colours of the bunting will further add to the positive impact for visitors to our historic city centre.
