BID Cleans Up Chancery Lane

8th July 2015

BID Cleans up Chancery Lane

Later this month, Lancaster BID is coordinating a group of volunteers from Lancaster University Students Union to help paint the walls along the length of Chancery Lane. For the past few months, Lancaster BID has been monitoring the condition of Chancery Lane that runs from Market Square to Church Street, as part of a staged process. The BID has been working with Lancaster City Council to keep the space clear of litter and we now want to move our focus to the condition of the walls.  In the future, we are hoping to look into improving the lighting and adding signage to encourage pedestrians to use this as a viable route and to help to displace the current undesirable behavior taking place along this lane.
