Lancaster BID held their first AGM as a company limited by guarantee on Wednesday 12th July. The event was attended by 50 city centre businesses, with representatives from Lancaster & District Chamber of Commerce and The Mayor of Lancaster, Cllr Roger Mace.

The event was an enjoyable night showcasing the achievements of Lancaster BID over the last year, as well as looking forward at the future of the company.

Attendees saw a video showcasing some of the highlights of the first year of the Million Pound BID. This video showcased the enormous contributions that Lancaster BID makes to the city centre. The BID updated that they surpassed their targets of £30,000 to raise an additional £127,000, which, combined with Levy Payers businesses contributions totaled over £327,000 which was directly invested into Lancaster City Centre last year alone.

Lancaster BID also welcomed new directors including Susan Rutherford, Consultant and Practice Manager at Holden's Solicitors, Richard Alford, Managing Director at Black Bear Network and re-elected director Mark Diggle, proprietor of Diggle's and Marcos Restaurant, which is due to re-open later this year.

Attendees also welcomed the installation of Susan Rutherford as incoming Vice Chair of Lancaster BID.
