4th August 2017
On Friday 4th August Pirates will invade the city centre from 11am until 4pm for a Yo Ho Ho day of fun!
Lancaster Business Improvement District (BID) have organised this pirate themed day, which will be the first of its kind in Lancaster city centre. Lancaster BID have worked closely with key partner organisations such as St.Nics and Marketgate shopping centres, Lancaster Museum, Lancaster Library and The Dukes theatre to provide a full day of Pirate-tastic activities.
Join our crew and hunt for the fabled treasure chest , you could be swabbing the decks of our fair city, climbing the riggin up the hills to our castle and other historic landmarks whilst exploring and roaming Lancaster searching for the all important clues to find out if x really does mark the spot!
There will be so much to see and do, from Pirate face painting to a Pirate fancy dress competition, Pirate crafts and even a chance to meet our band of scurvy sea rats and have your photo taken with the Pirates! With a fun-fair, treasure hunt and eye patch making all taking place through the day, as well as a sea shanty or 2 from our Pirates, there truly is something for everyone to do! Make sure you bring your little land lubbers down to join in the Pirate day of fun!
In the event of wet or extreme weather:
Mermaid appearances will move move to the empty unit in St.Nics in-between GAME and Brighthouse.
Pirate appearances will move to MarketGate Shopping Centre.
Fancy Dress competition will move to Anchor Lane (The Ginnel leading to VUE Cinema)
